The Association Representing Koreans is a multicultural club for students attending UNLV. The objective of ARK is to promote the Korean culture and to provide a network for sharing information on jobs and internships among students. Through our scheduled meetings, students are able to receive helpful career counseling from professors as well as academic guidance from advanced students.
Who Should Join?
ARK is for those students who are interested in the Korean culture and the hospitality management field. We welcome all students who are passionate about hospitality-related fields; want to obtain helpful information through seminars; seek advice from industry professionals; or are looking to be involved in activities and events within the school! You do not have to be Korean or pursuing a particular major to become a member.
Events
Regular meetings will be held throughout the semester to plan and prepare for various events, such as “visit Korean restaurants” and “Korean Community in Las Vegas.”
In addition, ARK is planning to promote a mentorship program with the Korean Chamber of Commerce to give students an opportunity to network with industry leaders and explore potential internships and work opportunities.
