During new employee and benefits orientation, we provide an introduction to UNLV and important information about its history and culture; policies and procedures; services and resources available to employees; workplace protection; health, retirement, and voluntary benefits; and more.

Orientation Structure
All newly eligible full-time faculty and staff members, including those who go from part-time to regular full-time, should attend this orientation. There are two separate sessions that you may attend on each orientation day:
- Session One: Introduction to UNLV culture, safety, resources, onboarding, and Workday
- Session Two: Benefits resources and enrolling in or declining PEBP healthcare coverage

New Employee & Benefits Orientation on REBELPeople
REBELPeople is UNLV’s learning management system (LMS) and includes a HR Onboarding and Benefits Workspace that includes asynchronous - interactive courses.
For benefits, please complete the orientation course that explains health plan options, voluntary benefits, mandatory and voluntary retirement, additional benefits, and your benefits support team. This course will improve understanding and utilization, cost savings, preventative care and wellness, and more. Once you have completed this course, you can register for an interactive drop in session to clarify eligibility, complete applications, and optimize your benefits.
For onboarding, the virtual orientation is the best option however if you can not attend on the date provided, then please complete the interactive course.
