Congratulations on being selected to teach. The college usually holds a PTI orientation before the fall semester.In addition the university’s learning management system, Canvas, contains helpful tutorials. Here are some other resources to help you get started.
PTI Compensation and Benefits
Compensation
- As of FY25, the PTI pay rate for a average three-credit courses is $4,050 ($1,350/credit).
- For the fall semester, payment to benefit-eligible PTIs is disbursed in five installments (August through December) with benefit coverage beginning in September.
- For the spring semester, payment to benefit-eligible PTIs is disbursed in five installments (January through May) with benefit coverage beginning in January.

- PTIs who are at least 50% full time equivalent (FTE) are eligible for participation in UNLV’s
