We're Excited You're Attending UNLV!

New Student Orientation will help you make a successful transition to UNLV. You'll learn about the services available to help you succeed, discover academic enrichment opportunities, and explore the ways to get involved on campus.

We look forward to supporting you along the way to ensure you are ready for your first semester at UNLV!

New Student Orientation Overview

New Student Orientation Overview (NSO) will help you make a successful transition to UNLV. Attending orientation is mandatory for all first-year students. Register for an NSO session through your MyUNLV account. Students must also complete the Online Pre-Orientation course in WebCampus before attending their scheduled orientation.

During orientation, you'll learn about the services available to help you succeed, discover academic enrichment opportunities, and explore the ways to get involved on campus.

New Student Orientation Handbook

Please read your New Student Orientation Handbook, which includes student support resources for future reference and details regarding important policies. You’ll also receive a physical copy of the handbook at your orientation session.

Academic Advising

Establishing a relationship with an academic advisor ensures that you meet degree requirements and accomplish your personal and educational goals.

As an international student, you’re required to enroll full-time with a minimum of 12 credits each semester. Whether you enroll in 12 credits or more, 9 credits must be completed on campus, not online.

Family and Guests

Family members and guests are invited to attend UNLV Family Orientation. This unique program will address the priorities and questions that family members typically have.
