Voters have 8 days now left to decide which party controls Congress, and the balance of power in the Senate could come down to just a few key states, one of them is Nevada. 

Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto is the first Latina to serve in the Senate, representing a majority-minority state with a 30%-and-growing Hispanic population. Those basic facts alone would be reason enough to assume that the first-term Democrat would buck traditional midterm trends and hang onto her seat next month.
