Mehmet Erdem, Ashok Singh, Billy Bai, and Chih-Chien Chen (all Hospitality), along with Saeed "Simon" Vayghan, '22 PhD Hospitality, were recognized with the Best Research Paper Award at the 29th Annual International Hospitality IT Association Research Conference held in Orlando, Florida. Their study, "Using Manifest and Latent Coding to Study Guestroom AI-agents: Personality Matters" demonstrates how to enhance the hotel guest experience by mapping traits of voice-enabled artificial intelligence (AI).
