Anjala Krishen (Marketing and International Business) and Pushkin Kachroo (Electrical and Computer Engineering), along with two past doctoral students, Orie Berezan, who earned a doctoral degree from the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration and is now a faculty member at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and Shaurya Agarwal, who earned a doctoral degree in electrical and computer engineering at UNLV and now is a post-doctoral student at New York University, received the Best Paper Award for U.S. authors from the Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy (GIKA) during the GIKA Conference in Valencia, Spain, in March.The paper is titled "The Generation of Virtual Needs: Recipes for Satisfaction in Social Media Networks."
