Spring 2025 Group Offerings
LGBTQ+ Support Group
A group for students looking to give and accept support, share resources, and discuss topics related to sexuality, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationships, and coping with living in a heteronormative environment
GPS Navigation: Graduate and Professional Student Support Group
This group provides an online space to share experiences and concerns of being a graduate or professional school student at UNLV. Members may find new ways to relate to one another and receive feedback, and support from multiple perspectives, while addressing possible topics like imposter syndrome, self-doubt, lack of belonging, isolation and loneliness, work-life balance, relationship stressors, multiple responsibilities, feeling stuck, and job-market concerns.
Grief & Loss
CAPS’ new Grief and Loss Group was developed to create space for difficult life changes, including the loss of a loved one, end of a relationship, difficult life transition, or other experiences. The group leaders view grief and loss as natural results of change. During the course of the group, clients will learn about attachment and how it relates to trauma, learn coping skills, recognize triggers, engage in a trauma narrative, and process their experiences with other group members. This in-person group will have eight sessions, 60-minutes each, and it is designed as a combination of skill building and interpersonal processing.
In My Feels: Understanding Emotions
Emotions are confusing, but they don't have to be. This 5-session psychoeducational group will help you identify, feel, understand, and cope with emotions. All of this is done in an inclusive and curious space.
A-Healthy-U- hosted by Student Health Center

CBT-I Based Interventions for Sleep- hosted by Student Health Center
