At the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, we pride ourselves on providing our students with all of the resources that they need to be successful in their academic pursuits. In an effort to ensure this promise, Student Outreach Specialists (SOS), under the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education - Student Success, work with a special cohort of students during their first year at the University. These students are first contacted by their assigned Specialist at the beginning of the academic year. The role of the Student Outreach Specialist is to check-in with students throughout the school year, see how students are transitioning to the University, and share details regarding campus resources and University reminders.
