LeAnne Salazar Montoya (Educational Psychology, Policy and Leadership) was selected as the 2023 Hispanic Educator's Association of Nevada's (HEAN) Keynote Speaker for the 35th Annual Hispanic Baccalaureate for CCSD's seniors who have met the organizational criteria's for participation. Over 1600 graduates participated in the ceremony.

Karlene McCormick-Lee published a chapter in the second edition of Funding Public Schools in the United States, Indian Country, and U.S. Territories. The chapter focused on the state of Nevada and the public school funding mechanisms.
