Sending email. Writing memos. Giving presentations. Managers likely shuffle these tasks daily, but are employees listening?

The managing director of the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., said today that his organization is “delighted” to add former Southern Nevada water chief Pat Mulroy to its roster of experts tackling climate change.

Eleven UNLV graduate programs were ranked among the nation’s top 100, although its law school fell 15 places, according to college rankings released this week by U.S. News and World Report.

That UNLV students were selected to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon against teams from elite private institutions such as Stanford University, the University of Southern California and the California Institute of Technology was an accomplishment by itself.

Then UNLV went and beat them all.
