The UNLV Wind Orchestra presents the 5th Annual “The President’s Concert" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18. The concert is a special celebration of the military heroes, first responders, and public servants who help keep our nation safe, as well as the incredibly honorable Las Vegans who have been awarded the French Legion of Honor. The evening's performance celebrates 2nd Lieutenant Dean Whitaker, recipient of the French Legion of Honor Medallion for his service in World War II. We thank them all for their courage and valor.
"The President's Concert" features Thomas G. Leslie, artistic director and conductor; guest conductors Col. John R. Bourgeois, director emeritus, United States Marine Band, “The President’s Own,” and Zane S. Douglass, UNLV visiting assistant professor of conducting.
