The UNLV Wind Orchestra performs "Tower Ascending" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, in Artemus Ham Concert Hall. The concert features a guest performance by the Green Valley High School Wind Ensemble with Conductor Diane Koutsulis as well as guest conductors Col. John R. Bourgeois, Conductor Emeritus of The United States Marine band "The President's Own" and Dean Snavely, DMA graduate conductor.
Featured works to be performed are: "Cuban Overture" by George Gershwin; "Ave Maria" by Franz Biebl; "The Three Wonders" from the "The Tsar Sultan" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov; and "Tower Ascending" by Wayne Oquin.
