The Performing Arts Center at UNLV, Southern Nevada's longstanding performing arts venue for 37 years, recently announced its 2012-2013 season. The season's offering include the acclaimed Charles Vanda Master Series, UNLV Classical Guitar Series, and will introduce the UNLV Chamber Music Series.
The UNLV Performing Arts Center also offers new Design Your Own Series program, offering patrons an early opportunity to select a variety of shows at a discounted price. Benefits of subscribing include early notification about UNLV Performing Arts Center offerings, and discount offers for friends or family. Subscribers have an opportunity to select prime seats before individual tickets go on sale.
The season opens on Sept. 20 with the launch of the UNLV Chamber Music Series, presented in conjunction with the UNLV department of music. The concert, "Celebrate Debussy's 150th!," is led by Jennifer Grim, flutist, and Linda Lister, soprano, as they perform an evening dedicated to Claude Debussy's (1862-1918) works for smaller ensembles to celebrate his 150th birthday.

- Nov. 29: Trio Cavatina with pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute, violinist Harumi Rhodes, and cellist Priscilla Lee
- Feb. 14: Z?phyros Winds, one of America's most distinguished chamber ensembles
The Charles Vanda Master Series opens Oct. 7 with New York Polyphony, a group whose four voices deliver dynamic performances, refined musicianship, and a uniquely modern sensibility with a varied repertoire, ranging from medieval melodies to cutting-edge contemporary works.

- Feb. 2: The Stars of the Russian Ballet performing dances from historic story ballets, including "Sleeping Beauty," "Cinderella," "Don Quixote" and "Paquita"
- March 6: China National Symphony Orchestra with Xia Guan as director and Xi Chen as violinist

- Sept. 21: Prelude to the Allegro International Guitar Competition featuring Van Cliburn-winner Jose Feghali, Sergio Assad, Roland Dyens, and Christopher McGuire
