The department of dance continues its Full Bloom season, welcoming the spring with Dynamic Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, and 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the Judy Bayley Theatre. Featured works include choreography by UNLV jazz dance specialist Jason Hortin, as well as guest artist choreographers Payton Schultz, Avree Walker, and Danielle Maas. A highlight of the concert is the classic 1963 work Cantilever by Erick Hawkins, a significant 20th century choreographer of modern dance. Cantilever will be presented at UNLV and will then be presented as part of the Martha Graham Dance Company season at New York’s prestigious Joyce Theater in April 2023.
