The UNLV College of Fine Arts presents the 7th Annual UNLV Art Walk, a free event celebrating the arts, with presenting sponsor Susan N. Houston, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
Dean Nancy J. Uscher noted that this year's theme "Viva Las Vegas" encompasses both an appreciation for our beautiful city, and a joyous recognition of the 60th anniversary of the iconic Ann-Margret and Elvis Presley film, part of which was filmed on the UNLV campus.
The event is open to the public and features art exhibitions, live music and dance performances, film demonstrations, theatre events
“We are living in the midst of a cultural renaissance in Las Vegas," Uscher said. "There is a tremendous convergence of new opportunities, partnerships, institutions and activities. How exciting that our UNLV Art Walk 2024 is a vital part of this swirl of art-making and community engagement.
"What better theme to have for Art Walk than 'Viva Las Vegas' on its 60th anniversary, celebrating the iconic film and its legendary stars, who were all part of the fascinating history of our city and region — the Arts and Entertainment capital of the entire world!”
Help us honor the Las Vegas community for its dedication and support of arts and culture in Southern Nevada.
The event, including parking, is free and open to the public. To receive the full Art Walk experience, a digital guide will be available in late October providing a full schedule of Art Walk activities.
