Details
UNLV students have been preparing for weeks to manipulate the cardboard into realistic architectural concepts, using lessons learned in a fundamentals of design course.
The structure will resemble rooms of cardboard boxes woven into each other or molded into furniture, plants, bookcases, seating areas and more.
Students and organizers of the event also hope to promote the concept of green living, by creating this structure using all boxes recycled on the UNLV campus.
Students will begin building at 9 a.m. Friday and plan to be finished by 11 a.m. The event will be captured on a time-lapse video and posted on recordsetter.com if the record is broken.
