UNLV's Performing Arts Center welcomes a variety of performances and some fan favorites for its 2019-20 season.
The 11-member a cappella group Voctave performs in December with a program of Disney and holiday favorites. Chart-toppers on Billboard, Voctave’s videos have been viewed over 100 million times. Two groups return to the PAC by popular demand. To kick off 2020, the Russian National Ballet presents Cinderella, and in March, the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players will perform their new interpretation of The Mikado. Also in March, you’ve probably never seen anything like the Mnozil Brass. These seven brass players of Mnozil weave comedy, dance, and song into their show. To close the season on Mother's Day weekend, GRAMMY®-winning pianist Emanuel Ax performs an all-Beethoven program in honor of Beethoven’s 250th birthday (the Charles Vanda Honorary Concert).
The UNLV Performing Arts Center celebrates 15 years of bringing the best of guitar to Las Vegas! In October, join us for Flamenco Legends by Javier Limón: The Paco de Lucía Project with the original band that toured with the legendary flamenco artist. The Grigoryan Brothers from Australia return in November. In February, we welcome Sérgio and Odair Assad back to Las Vegas. Raphaël Feuillâtre, a student of guitar master Roland Dyens and winner of the 2018 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition, helps end our season-long celebration in April!
The UNLV Chamber Music Society presents WindSync in October and The Miró Quartet in April. This season’s three concerts with UNLV faculty members include Robert & Clara in September, Hidden Gems in February, and Bohemian Rhapsodies in March.
In addition, the UNLV College of Fine Arts is hosting a special event in September — A Thousand Thoughts: A Live Documentary with the Kronos Quartet. Sam Green tells the multi-decade and continent-spanning story of the quartet while the group revisits its extensive body of work live on-stage.
