The Performing Arts Center is pleased to welcome back The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players (NYGASP) in "The Mikado" at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8. Enjoy this new interpretation of a classic light opera by NYGASP who made their highly successful Las Vegas debut in 2018.
Now in its 46th year of operation, NYGASP is America’s preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory ensemble. Under the dynamic leadership of artistic director Albert Bergeret, who has been hailed as “the leading custodian of the G&S classics” by New York Magazine, NYGASP has created its own special niche in the cultural mosaic of New York City and the nation. Since its founding in 1974, the company has presented more than 2,000 performances of the Gilbert & Sullivan masterpieces throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, captivating audiences of all ages.
Tickets
Tickets to "The Mikado" are $50, $40, $30, $20, and can be purchased through the Performing Arts Center box office or by calling 702-895-ARTS (2787). Student rush tickets are $10 each (not inclusive of the facilities fee) and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student ID. UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available.
A $1.50 facilities fee, in addition to the ticket price, is charged on all Performing Arts Center tickets. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Event Parking
UNLV Performing Arts Center patrons are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage. Parking is free after 7 p.m. Monday - Thursday, after 1 p.m. Friday, and all weekend.
About the PAC
The UNLV Performing Arts Center is Southern Nevada's first home for the arts: it opened in 1976 and celebrates its 44th season this year. It hosts a variety of performances and events and is home to productions presented by the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, UNLV School of Music, UNLV Dance, Desert Chorale, and the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society. The UNLV PAC also is pleased to host various Clark County School District fine arts festivals and concerts.
