The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV and Cockroach Theatre present a special joint production of Israel Horovitz's "Line." Will Adamson directs. Performances Nov. 7-10 are in the UNLV Black Box Theatre, and performances Nov. 14-17 are at Cockroach Theatre, 1025 S. First St.
"Line" is the longest-running off-off Broadway show on the boards, having played continuously at the Thirteenth Street Repertory Theatre since 1974.
One by one, a group of unacquainted people come together to form a line for some unnamed, upcoming event. Gradually, the struggle for first place begins, and as they lie, cheat, wrestle, and push to gain the lead spot, an extraordinary panorama of human frailty is made explosively and hilariously real.
The cast includes Jordan Fenn as Arnall; Glenn Heath as Dolan; Paul Neal as Stephen; Stephan Petway as Fleming; and Stefanie Resnick as Molly.
The production and design team include scenic designer Donald Rose III, lighting designer Elizabeth Kline, sound designer Max Godges, costume designer Elizabeth LaRouche, and production stage manager Kelli Howard.
Show times are at 8 p.m. on Nov. 7, 8 and 9, with matinees at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10, in the UNLV Black Box Theatre. At Cockroach Theatre, show times are at 8 p.m. on Nov. 14, 15, and 16, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17.
