The Montreal Guitar Trio (MG3) returns to the UNLV Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in the Doc Rando Recital Hall of the Beam Music Center. The performance is sponsored by Dr. Mitchell and Pearl Forman.
Described by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as the "hottest" guitar ensemble in Canada, MG3 has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with, as well as an interactive force in various musical forms. For more than 20 years, the trio's virtuosity, rigor, creativity, and impressive stage presence have been winning over audiences around the world. The trio, composed of guitarists Sébastien Dufour, Glenn Lévesque, and Marc Morin, has given hundreds of concerts in some of the most prestigious venues across North America, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, including the legendary Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the BB King Blues Club in New York City.
Tickets to MG3 are $45 and can be purchased online or by calling at the Performing Arts Center box office at 702-895-ARTS (2787). Student rush tickets are $10 each and available one hour prior to each event with valid student I.D. UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. About the PAC
The UNLV Performing Arts Center is Southern Nevada's first home for the arts: it opened in 1976 and celebrates its 42nd season this year. It hosts a variety of performances and events and is home to productions presented by the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, UNLV School of Music, UNLV Dance, Desert Chorale, and the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society.
