Dean Nancy Uscher is pleased to welcome Norma Saldivar as the incoming chair of the department of theatre. Saldivar joins UNLV following her work as executive director of the Arts Institute and professor of theatre at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously, she served as producing director and professor at the same institution. She earned her BFA in Theatre-Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University, and her MFA in Theatre-Directing from the University of Illinois.

"We couldn't be more thrilled with the addition of Professor Saldivar to our already stellar theatre department and Nevada Conservatory Theatre," said Uscher. "Her knowledge and expertise will help continue to shape the department as a leader in the theatrical arts."

Saldivar will begin in her position July 15.
