UNLV College of Fine Arts Dean Nancy Uscher is pleased to welcome Daniel Bernbach, senior vice president of Development & Strategy at MGM Resorts International, at 3 p.m. on March 7 as part of the ongoing Dean's Picks lecture series in the Barrick Museum of Art auditorium. A light reception follows the lecture.

Bernbach offers two decades of extraordinary success in a series of high-level roles at top tier companies that include MGM Resorts International, Holland America Line, and Teach For America/Clark County School District.
As senior vice president of Entertainment Development and Strategy for MGM Resorts International, he pioneered the launch and continued leadership of the new Content Development division, building revenue through agreements with major media corporations for content, events, and experiences. Collaborations include Cirque du Soleil, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures, and Netflix. During his tenure, he produced “America’s Got Talent Live” at Luxor and “Cirque du Soleil’s Mad Apple” at New York-New York. In immersive experiences, he partnered to open “Swingers Crazy Golf” at Mandalay Bay, “Play Playground” at Luxor, and “Netflix Bites” at MGM Grand. Future projects include “Bob Marley Hope Road” at Mandalay Bay, and “The Friends Experience: The One in Vegas” at MGM Grand. In addition, he is overseeing entertainment development and strategy for MGM’s upcoming resorts in Dubai and Japan.
Prior to assuming his current role, Bernbach achieved over a decade of experience driving positive outcomes across the Entertainment Industry, Entertainment Development, Fortune 500 Experience, Capital Planning, Process Improvement, Event Management, and Venue Opening Management. He was the founding General Manager of Park Theater (now Dolby Live) at ParkMGM.
In addition, Bernbach is a rare entertainment executive that has experience on the creative side as well as the business side. He has performed professionally as a singer, actor, musical director, and conductor. Knowing the creative process is an asset as he produces and oversees entertainment projects.
Born outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Bernbach holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Indiana University, a Master of Curriculum and Instruction degree from UNLV, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. In the community, he currently serves as the Immediate Past Board Chair for Nevada Rise Academy (a public charter school in east Las Vegas), Vice Chair of the Advisory Board for Teach For America Nevada, an advisory board member for Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (a public performing arts high school), and an advisory board member for Super Summer Theater. He resides in Las Vegas with his wife and two children.
