The department of art hosts an MFA Open Studios event 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 27. The public is invited to meet the MFA candidates and visit their studios where they will present recent work.
The annual Open Studios event is an opportunity to engage with the MFA candidates in art and experience a diversity of works in video, installation, painting, sculpture and photography - exploring a range of formal and conceptual concerns. Participating artists include Laura Brennan, Douglas Emery, Ali Fathollahi, Ed Fuentes, Homero Hidalgo, Brandon Lacow, Holly Lay, and Peter Mengert.
Studios are located on the second floor of Archie Grant Hall and across the street in the GRS Building, 4570 S. Maryland Parkway. The event is free and open to the public.

- Opening Reception for the BFA Exhibition at the Donna Beam Gallery of Fine Art, 7:30-9 p.m.
- Closing Reception for Nanda Sharif-pour’s midway exhibition “Alienation” at Grant Hall Gallery, 6-9 p.m.
