The UNLV Performing Arts Center welcomes the return of the renown American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Studio Company to the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11.
The vibrant young dancers of the ABT Studio Company share the artistry, professionalism, and innovation of the American Ballet Theatre with a worldwide audience, and their programs feature a dynamic blend of favorites from the classical and neoclassical canons alongside contemporary and newly commissioned works.
The central mission of ABT Studio Company is to prepare its exceptionally promising dancers (ages 17-21) for careers in American Ballet Theatre’s main Company or other leading ballet companies worldwide. ABT Studio Company serves as the crucial vehicle for transitioning from student to professional performer. More than 80 percent of current American Ballet Theatre dancers are alumni of ABT Studio Company, including fifteen Principal Dancers and eight Soloists.
Each season, ABT Studio Company commissions emerging and/or established choreographers to create new works on Studio Company dancers, serving as a platform for new choreography. ABT Studio Company engages the broadest possible ballet audience by performing classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoire in a range of venues around the globe.

About UNLV Performing Arts Center
The UNLV Performing Arts Center is the original home for the arts in Southern Nevada; it opened in 1976 and is celebrating its 48th season in 2024/25. A self-sustaining unit of UNLV, the PAC operates like many other arts organizations: costs for shows we produce, some facilities improvements, and other projects we undertake come from ticket sales, rentals, and donations. It hosts a variety of performances and events and is home to self-produced events plus productions of the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, UNLV School of Music, UNLV Dance, the Las Vegas Men’s Chorus, among many other community arts presenters, and various Clark County School District fine arts festivals and concerts.
