Early allergy season has officially arrived in the Las Vegas valley. Las Vegas local Jose Montalto tells Channel 13 that he recently started taking his allergy medicine. "[I noticed] an itch in the back of the throat, sneezing, a little more than usual," he said. "[I] thought is this a cold or is that an allergy? And then, you realize a couple days later oh. Not a cold. It's allergies."

The Henderson Police Department is looking to get a handle on red-light runners using indicator lights installed at a dozen intersections throughout the city. Red-light indicators, which have been in use by Henderson police for just over a month at selected intersections, provide police officers with a tool to safely enforce red-light-running laws with motorists who disregard them.

Nevada colleges including UNLV will soon receive more money for extra security on school campuses. The Interim Finance Committee met on Wednesday and approved a $2.6 million contract to help colleges across the state. The money was approved to help hire more contract security for schools including UNLV, College of Southern Nevada, and Nevada State College.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas employees will get access to child care, fertility, gym, and wellness programs, according to a news release. Fontainebleau is working with child care platform Tootris for a range of options, including full- and part-time care and services during non-standard work hours, in an exclusive deal, the release states. The roughly 6,500 workers will also receive up to $2,700 annually in financial assistance for childcare expenses.
