The mask mandate is now officially lifted in Nevada, though there are still a number of reasons Southern Nevadans may continue to need to mask up. Medical professionals have considered masking an effective tool for preventing the spread of COVID-19, but with the rollout of vaccines and better treatments combating the virus, pandemic strategies are shifting.

Vaccines were supposed to be a game changer for Covid-19 in schools. Back in the more innocent days of spring 2021, it seemed as though once the shots were approved for children, education could pretty much go back to normal — kids would get vaccinated, infections would drop, quarantines would become unnecessary, and teachers and families alike could settle into a new normal that looked a lot like the old one.
The National Football League playoffs have been stellar, with great sports cities fielding teams in closely contested games awash in athleticism and nail-biter finishes. That’s why fans watch, right?
