During the early hours of Wednesday morning, James Rice waited anxiously at Kennedy Space Center’s Banana Creek viewing platform in Florida as NASA’s Moon rocket geared up for its inaugural liftoff. “Today I saw a piece of history,” Rice, associate director at Arizona State University’s School of Earth and Space Exploration, told Gizmodo in an email.

A first-generation college graduate working in a private OB-GYN practice, Enriquez has devoted herself to creating judgement free environments to treat patients as a mental health advanced practice registered nurse. As she pursues her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at UNLV, Enriquez hopes her current research on maternal and neonatal care levels will provide expecting parents and their children with the aid they deserve. 

CDC Gaming Reports

An economic forecast released Thursday by the University of Nevada Las Vegas predicts visitor volume, gaming revenue, and hotel occupancy will level out in 2023 and even post slight declines in 2024 as the nation deals with rising interest rates and a slowing economy.

The nationwide agreement that could enhance nursing care state by state, but Nevada is on the outside looking in. This agreement is called the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC). It allows nurses in one state to practice in another without having to go after additional licenses if those states are in the compact.
