Once a staple of Reno's dining scene, all but two of the city's casino buffets remain closed with no immediate plans to reopen despite the easing of COVID-19 pandemic-related restrictions.

Gaming and tourism industry insiders were expecting hundreds of thousands of visitors to descend on Las Vegas for what promised to be the busiest holiday weekend since before the pandemic.

The integrated resort had several dozen apparently fake Google reviews as recently as Sunday. It wasn’t clear from where or whom the reviews originated, but the property’s Google review page was barren by Tuesday.
