Maintained by the Classified Staff Council, this monthly award program recognizes high-performing classified staff employees. Qualifications for nominees include:
- Classified employee at UNLV (either full time, part time or intermittent status)
- Must have been employed at UNLV for at least 90 days
- Must not have won the award within the most previous 12 months
- Must not have been formally disciplined within the past 12 months

Tammi Nelson
Orientation & Parent Programs

Since receiving the award, the administrative assistant III has transferred to the admissions office. Her duties involve assisting students and parents with various aspects of the admissions process, including SOAR. A 21-year employee, she also has worked for UNLV Libraries.
Allison Bredlau
English

An administrative assistant II, Bredlau has worked at the university for 25 years. She began in the purchasing department, transferring to English in 1988. Her duties involve greeting and helping students with registration issues, handling graduation applications, and backing up other members of the office staff.

She first worked for UNLV in 1995, beginning her career as a clerical trainee in the Student Health Center. She has since worked in several departments, including physical therapy, political science, and architecture.

Before that, she was a student worker for four years. She has earned two UNLV degrees, a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master of education degree in health promotion.
