Yvonne Houy (Fine Arts) presented “The Aesthetics Politics of Keeping Calm and Carrying On: Women’s ‘Beauty’ as Status Quo Propaganda Amidst Social and Economic Uncertainty” at the 32nd annual Far West Popular Culture Association/American Cultural Association Conference, organized by Felicia Campbell (English) and Chantelle Mitchell (English), and supported by UNLV's College of Liberal Arts and English department, the Policy Studies Organization and Westphalia Press. The paper was inspired by current events and is based on her dissertation on National Socialist propaganda.
