Susanna Newbury (Art) has published "Playtime," an essay exploring studio sets and the physical meditation of process at the heart of artist Barbara Kasten's photographic practice, in X-tra Contemporary Art Quarterly (Summer 2016). "Barbara Kasten: Stages," a major retrospective of the artist's work, is on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art-Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles through Aug. 14.
