Shawna Pennock (Music) gave a lecture recital ("Riparian" by Kathryn Koopman: Duet for alto saxophone and violin pedagogically created to help young saxophonists learn to play the altissimo register) at two music conferences this month: the Southern College Music Society Conference at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and the Music by Women Festival at the Mississippi University for Woman in Columbus. She was joined by her collaborator, Serena Scibelli, violin.
