UNLV Alumni Association's "DisruptHERs: How women are leading change in the sport industry” was presented by Nancy Lough (Education), director of the intercollegiate and Professional Sport Management program, and co-director of UNLV's Sport Innovation Initiative.
Women’s sport is on the rise. Viewership, attendance, sponsorship investment, and fandom are at an all-time high. Women are also now leading high-profile sports organizations, like the Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces. In this interactive session, Lough explored the new model women’s sports have created resulting in unprecedented growth. She also explored how women’s leadership in sports is disrupting the industry and creating meaningful change.
