Monica Brown (Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education) was funded through the USDOE as part of a subcontract with Florida International University. She will serve as principal investigator at UNLV with Elizabeth Cramer and Michelle Cumming (FIU) on Project COEDUCATE (Consortium of Engaged Diverse Urban Change Agents in Teacher Education). It is a five-year award (> $2.4 million) designed to "train doctoral-level special education leaders to meet the demands of high-need urban communities and school populations of diverse students with disabilities."
