Associate professor Kimberly G James, DM, (Music) presented a workshop titled, "From Small Straws to Big Singing: Moving Beyond Theory," which addressed a practical application of semi-occluded vocal tract tools (e.g. small coffee straws) in the field of classical singing. This workshop was presented at the hybrid Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA) symposium. PAVA is an international professional association comprised of various voice professionals such as medical doctors, speech-language pathologists, singers, voice scientists, and teachers/coaches.
