Julia Freedman Silvernail, Brianne Borgia, and Kristine Wieland (all Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences) co-authored “Joint Stiffness During Walking in Sedentary Young Adults,” which investigated gait and assessed whether differences in knee joint stiffness existed between normal and obese sedentary young adults. Professor Silver nail presented the study’s findings during the recent Osteoarthritis Research Society International conference, and the article appeared in the April issue of Osteoarthritis and Cartilage. Borgia and Wieland are Ph.D. students.
