MFA Lighting Design candidate and graduate research assistant Jordan Z. Hall (Theatre) was recently awarded the Mabel P. Robinson Artist Award by the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC). The award was offered through a partnership with NC Black Rep and the Black Theatre Network.
Winners attend the 2022 National Black Theatre Festival, the 2023 Southeastern Theatre Conference, and the 2023 Black Theatre Network Conference. These events introduce students and industry veterans, provide professional experience, and present audition opportunities for graduate schools and summer stock theaters.
SETC procured grant funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to support this project.
