Jason Avedesian, Warren Forbes, (both Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences), and Janet S. Dufek (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences and Provost's Office), along with Tracey Covassin of Michigan State University, recently co-authored "Influence of Cognitive Performance on Musculoskeletal Injury Risk: A Systematic Review" in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. The article is the first to systematically review the published literature pertaining to the relationship between cognition and musculoskeletal injury risk. Dufek serves as the advisor for graduate students Avedesian and Forbes.
