Fawn Douglas (Art) was recognized earlier this month as the January Citizen of the Month for the city of Las Vegas. The presentation was made by Councilwoman Olivia Diaz. Douglas is co-founder of Nuwu Art + Activism Studios, curator of the recent Ah’-Wah-Nee exhibition at UNLV, a member of the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe, and former tribal councilwoman. She is also an MFA candidate.
