Caren Royce Yap (Marketing and International Business) was recognized as an AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) trailblazer in the Las Vegas community by the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) at its first InspirAsian Gala, which took place in December. Yap, who serves as CSUN president, was the youngest of the eight trailblazers honored. The award was presented by Nevada Assemblywoman Selena Torres and all honorees were recognized by Vida Lin, ACDC president, and Kathy Sisolak, Nevada's first lady.
