Brett Abarbanel (International Gaming Institute and Hospitality) recently moderated a panel at the Esports Insider ESI Digital Summer, entitled "Identifying sources of revenue and growth sectors of the esports industry", in which she and several esports industry CEOs discussed revenue opportunities in the metaverse.
Abarbanel presented an invited talk at the International Association of Gaming Regulators' annual conference, entitled "Is it Gambling? Breaking Down Gambling in Esports & Video Games".
She also published "Gambling live streams on Twitch: What are they and why do they matter?" on The Conversation, along with Mark Johnson (University of Sydney), and Luke Clark and Dimitrios Avramidis (University of British Columbia)
