UNLV’s Athletic Training Program achieved a remarkable victory at the Far West Athletic Trainers’ Association (FWATA) Quiz Bowl, winning first place among 12 accredited programs across the district (California, Hawaii, and Nevada) during the annual FWATA conference meeting.
This outstanding accomplishment marks the fifth time since 2011 that UNLV has earned first place in this prestigious competition — a testament to the sustained excellence and dedication of our students and faculty.
What makes this win even more impressive is that UNLV's team, consisting of students Monica Enriquez, Anthony McCulloch-Howard, and Joseph Zabel, was the only undergraduate program competing. They faced off against graduate-level teams and emerged as champions, showcasing the depth of knowledge and preparation that defines our program.
We now look ahead with great anticipation for the students to travel to the NATA National Championships in Orlando this June, where UNLV will represent the entire FWATA district at this national competition.
