Asma Awan (Social and Behavioral Health), Kara Radzak (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences), & Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health), presented a paper titled, "A Theory-Based Approach to Explain the Correlates of Safe Physical Activity in Pregnant and Postpartum Individuals," at the 75th Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) Annual Conference held in St. Louis. The paper highlighted the utilization of Multi-theory Model (MTM) of behavioral change to asses the multi-faceted barriers to pregnancy-related and postpartum physical activity and lack of knowledge on safe physical activity practices in pregnant and postpartum individuals in Clark County. Sharma is the originator of the Multi-theory Model (MTM) of behavioral change.
