Arpita Basu (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences) in collaboration with her colleagues at the University of South Florida and the University of Colorado published a nutritional epidemiological report on the inverse association of dietary fiber with blood hemoglobin A1c using data from the NHLBI-funded CACTI cohort. This prospective cohort aims to examine the associations of dietary, lifestyle, and blood biomarkers with the progression of coronary artery calcification in adults with type 1 diabetes compared to matched controls.
