Alain Bengochea (Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education) published an article titled, "Effective vocabulary interventions for young emergent bilinguals: A best‐evidence synthesis," in Review of Education.
This best-evidence synthesis applied systematic study selection procedures and identified rigorously designed vocabulary inventions for emergent bilinguals. Implications of this research point to particular intervention features that contribute to different facets of emergent bilinguals' English vocabulary knowledge and suggestions for future intervention design to meet evidence standards.
