This course is intended for undergraduate and graduate students who study guitar as their primary instrument. Participation in formal and outreach concerts will be a significant part of the course. Objectives of the course include:

• Resolving issues of musicianship and technical problems
• Building artistry as well as fundamentals in ensemble playing

Only students at the intermediate and advanced playing levels will be admitted, and you are encouraged to enroll in applied music lessons while taking guitar ensemble.

If you are a nonmusic major, you must complete Class Guitar I and Class Guitar II or have enrolled in applied lessons for at least two semesters before being permitted to enroll. You may also enroll in the course with the permission of the instructor.
