Curriculum

The medical physics programs (MS, Doctor of Medical Physics and Advanced Graduate Certificate) are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP). Students enrolled in the programs, and in good standing, are eligible to take Part 1 of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification exam. Upon successful completion of the MS or Certificate program, the student is required to complete a CAMPEP accredited residency program in order to be eligible to take Parts 2 and 3 of the ABR certification exam. Upon successful completion of the DMP program, the student is awarded a doctorate in medical physics and is eligible to take Parts 2 and 3 of the ABR certification exam in therapeutic medical physics. Upon successful completion of ABR Part 3, students are eligible for therapeutic medical physics positions requiring ABR certification.
