UNLV is committed to assuring that all people may exercise the constitutionally protected rights of free expression, speech, and assembly on our campuses.
University grounds are open to the public except those locations where activity would significantly interfere with and/or disrupt University business. All activity in these areas must be conducted in such a way that traffic is not impeded and the normal activity in classrooms and offices is not disrupted.
All indoor university spaces must be reserved in advance and some outdoor spaces are available for reservation. Though not required for outdoor spaces, reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure that a location is available at a specific date and time. In locations where outdoor reservations occur, those reservations have priority access and use of that space at the times designated in their reservation. The University may change the locations available for reservations in accordance with reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions and with business operations.
Amplification may be used only at specified times, as outlined in UNLV’s Outdoor Noise Policy.
