UNLV School of Dental Medicine and LIBERTY Dental Plan of Nevada joined to create a UNLV Pediatric Dentistry Clinic that provides free preventive oral health services to children throughout southern Nevada.
The prevention clinic is similar to the Clark County School District’s school-based sealant program, which was closed for the school year due to the pandemic. The UNLV Pediatric Dentistry Clinic is located in the pediatric dentistry area of the UNLV School of Dental Medicine.
During the appointment, each patient will receive a screening examination to assess his or her oral health and identify any immediate care needs, as well as two bitewing radiographs. If appropriate, the patient will then receive a fluoride varnish application and dental sealants. The dentist will share recommendations with the parent for additional or follow-up care.
Parents can make appointments for their children by calling the Pediatric Department Front Desk 702-774-2415, or by completing the online appointment request form.
